4 days off in Charlotte

At George Mason University, our 4 days off began on Friday 3rd and will finish tomorrow (Monday 6th).
Most fellows went to New York, some stayed in Fairfax and I went to Charlotte, North Carolina, where a Uruguayan family received me.
I took the megabus from DC on Thursday at 11:10pm and travelled for 9 hours...sleeping almost the whole trip, obviously.
Below, some photos of Charlotte, one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. New buildings  and new highways are being built everywhere, while preserving many green spaces at the same time. Home of the American Football team "the Panthers", the basketball team "Charlotte Hornets" and the NASCAR biggest hall of fame in the U.S..

Ladies and gentlemen..   CHARLOTTE:

Megabus, once I got off..and some geese close to.me 😃

Electric Train stop

main center of recreation during the weekend's nights. Several discos are clustered here.

Neighbourhood were I was staying....similar to Virginia in what concerns houses and natural  environment

Walking trails very close to the neighbourhood. There are several of this kind in Charlotte

Monument to former Panther player.

Main entrance to the Panthers' stadium

Typical "crown", symbol of Charlotte, it can be seen everywhere in the city.
Like, next to some of the streets' names, for instance

According to many local people, Charlotte has been changing a lot in the past 10 years... Maybe in 10 years we'll be talking about the new New York ??!!?...hmmm let's see...

Well, and today at 11:30pm I will be departing towards Virginia again... Hope to be able to sleep the whole trip, for it's quite long 😒
